ELESE ORRELL
Pilates Teacher
Elese has been teaching Pilates since 2014. A Chicago native, she spent several years living in Montana before moving to Southern California to attend Brooks Institute of Photography where she graduated with a B.A. in Visual Communications. Her work experience created many opportunities to involve herself in facets of film, theatre, music and event production. She has always been firmly planted in the creative arts, and movement is her biggest passion. She performed as a pole and aerial dancer for years in a variety of productions in LA and was a member of the long-standing burlesque company, Bootleg Bombshells.
Elese has two classical certifications from Whole Body Method and Mind2Body studios in Los Angeles, and has also earned a 200 hr YTT through Prannothan Yoga (a sister school of Kripalu Center). She began studying Pilates with the intention of working with people to help them gain awareness of their body and challenge them to reach new levels of ability. She was also seeking a way to compliment her dance training to become stronger and more balanced, as well as help prevent injury. She was drawn to the classical method because of its fully integrated approach and emphasis on the mind-body connection.
Elese brings an encouraging and compassionate approach to her teaching, and believes everyone can benefit from the Pilates method. She feels truly rewarded to help people in ways of movement that support greater balance, strength and health.
